Hauntings explained:

Mild Haunting: A mild haunting can consist, but is not limited to: things going missing and turning up in the oddest places, smells that are often pleasant and invoke memories of times past such as cigar, or flowers, or coffee brewing or even perfumes, seeing things zip past you out of the corner of your eye to seeing light shadows. Also you can experience hearing snippets of voice projections like someone calling your name when no one is there. One other bit of phenomena is electronic equipment being turned on or off and phone calls with weird number or actual dates.Most of these spirits are family and friends who have crossed. Sometimes they are people who just wandered in or are in visitation because of a link with an item or place. If you wish to rid yourself of these spirits, usually all you need do is ask and they will leave or they wont let you know they're about.

Moderate Haunting: A moderate haunting can consist of, but is not limited to: All of the above, but usually stronger or happens more often and to more than one person. Items may be removed completely and sometimes someone may be the target of such phenomena. Smells and voices cam be stronger as well. These last longer in duration and usually get more active as time goes on.
Hauntings of this type are usually from a spirit or spirits who are connected to the house, building or land. It can also occur in cases where a spirit is trying to get an important message through. This type of haunting can be a bit jarring but usually isn't harmful. If you wish for this type of spirit to leave it can be done on your own, try asking first. If that doesn't work it is better to have someone experienced do it for or with you.

Severe Haunting:This type haunting includes all of the above with differences. Smells can range to quite foul. objects can be thrown, people can be harmed, (but not usually) loud noises can be heard and things can disappear altogether. This type of haunting is usually with a spirit who anchored to a place or land and is angry. Maybe because of a violent death or other circumstances that were to horrific to him or her to get over. These spirits act out. The way to get rid of them is to have someone experienced clear them.

Demonic Haunting: This type of haunting is the scariest and most potentially harmful of all. Demons don't just come to a place or person, they are usually invited in or find a doorway. Phenomena is loud, abusive and harmful. There can be noticable fighting among those who live or work in the place, foul, horrible smells, things or people being thrown or harmed. If it's not the place that is the center of activity it can be a person that it is localized around. This is not a type of haunting to play around with. Leave the house or building. A demonologist or a cleric can clear them. Sometimes it is better to have both.
